This area covers a range of local services which support, protect and enhance Devon’s communities. This includes libraries, adult learning and trading standards. It also covers support for voluntary and community organisations, heritage, sport and the arts.

With a total budget of £68m in 2013/14 our main challenges include:

  • Continuing to provide community facilities which will allow residents to access council services locally.
  • Continuing to protect and advise local consumers, famers and businesses with limited funding
