Proposal Details: The Phoenix Centre to become a community run Well-being Centre. • Promotion of healthy eating and healthy lifestyles for families • Evening and school holiday provision for children and young people with an emphasis on self-esteem and self-respect and health • Targeted youth work to continue • Intergenerational projects and art/craft/music activities • Young Parents group to continue • Doorstep Club (already taking place) • Devon Active Communities activities (already taking place, possible expansion) • Trainer kitchen for obtaining Food Hygiene certificate and running courses on healthy eating • Community Café with possible internet café • Use by Wonford Green Surgery for smoking cessation and other health courses • Neighbourhood Health Watch • Walking and Cycling groups in Ludwell Valley, down to river, Green Circle walk • Memory Café and local history projects • Carers/Young Carers support • Information/advice –Age Concern, CAB, Disability Rights Unit • Links with Careers South West, St Loyes Foundation, YMCA Job Club, Plough and Share Credit Union, Exeter Food Bank . • Links with Wonford Community and Learning Centre, Chestnut Children’s Centre and WASP project • Support from faith groups • Support from Neighbourhood Police.
